Used to + infinitive
ما از این عبارت برای صحبت در مورد عادات یا اعمال تکراری در گذشته استفاده می کنیم که در زمان حال انجام نمی دهیم. ما همچنین از آن برای صحبت در مورد وضعیت های گذشته استفاده می کنیم که دیگر درست نیستند. مثلا:

مواظب باش! برای منفی و سوال از “use” استفاده می‌شود و نه “used”:

توجه داشته باشید! با “used to” هیچ فعل “be” وجود ندارد. ما نمی توانیم بگوییم “‘I am used to have long hair”.
